Meekela started dancing at the age of 5 and has been trained in ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. Growing up in a competitive studio, Meekela attended many conventions where she was awarded scholarships, and her team was given national titles. After studio, Meekela was a part of her high school drill team for 3 years and was captain her senior year. Meekela has been teaching since the age of 15 and has taught all styles of dance to children ranging from the ages of 5-16 and choreographed many winning pieces. She attended Weber State University for 3 years and was a part of their national winning dance team for 3 years and was captain her last year. After college, Meekela decided to chase her dreams and try out to become a Raiderette and has found it to be an honor to be a first-year member for the 2023-2024 team.
